THE SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY

The School of Psychology explores and challenges the limitations of the human brain to help with understanding the universe. The long-term aim is to eventually make the entire matter of the universe conscious and aid in space-exploration. The school does this through the study of self-similar patterns found in nature and by finding their relations in the physical human brain as well as their patterns of thoughts and memories.

The School of Psychology is comprised of 3 connected buildings designed with the approach of using a triangular and a rectangular grid. One building is for laboratory spaces and a theatre. Each floor provides a bridge to access the library building. The third building is mainly student accommodation and workshop spaces, both at the other ends but connected with a communal space in the middle. The communal space reflects the fractal concept through the structure of the garden columns, which connect together through several floors, providing a unique view of the brain garden from each floor.
